WELCOME

Daniel Angelus is a multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and music producer – who creates, since 2007, melodramatic cinematic pop and rock. Daniel Angelus has amassed over one million views/streams on YouTube, Spotify and other music platforms and his musical works have been featured in films watched by millions of people worldwide.

A self-described recluse, Daniel began making music after a difficult and traumatic childhood, using it as a form of therapy. What began as bedroom music has, since 2007, transformed into an incredible career. Daniel has performed live in the UK, Europe, and North America – building a dedicated following of his music projects. His sound is unique, built on “the frailties and wonderment of human life”. There’s real grit beneath the surface that clearly only comes from Angelus’ lived experience, and which translates into the fullness of the music – “it’s the colours of your mind; it’s the pictures lost in time." After quietly releasing his debut LP ‘Miracle Dark’ in 2016 after years of touring and gaining attention within the industry, Daniel then released ‘Wired for Heartbreak’ in February 2018 – and followers noticeably gathered. A powerful album with a strong narrative, both within each song and as a cohesive thread throughout, Wired for Heartbreak is a standalone work of musical art made in one bedroom. A beautifully constructed LP, every space is packed full of emotion but never crowded. Often compared to David Bowie, after listening to the engrossing single ‘Reflection’ (a critical and audience success) it’s easy to hear why – but make no mistake, Daniel is his own artist.

Daniel has been getting his music heard by more and more people across the world; ACT II, a dark and melancholic dream-pop record featuring a dreamy cover of U2's 'With or Without You' that once again caught the music world's attention during the Covid-19 global pandemic. Daniel filmed the music videos for the project in isolated fields and environments after cancelling an impending world tour for the project. Daniel Angelus made his film music debut in 2021 crafting the multi-award-winning soundtrack for indie film 'The Lights of Dawn' directed by multi-award-winning film director Sadie Duarte. Daniel Angelus then wrote and recorded the acclaimed soundtrack for popular sci-fi movie 'Mr. Earth' which has been viewed by millions of people worldwide on multiple major platforms.

2024 saw the release of the widely praised album ‘Seven Love Songs’ featuring the popular tracks ‘More Than You Love Me’ and 'Myth Calling', gut-wrenching stories of heartbreak through undoubtedly catchy shimmering pop anthems. This new album signalled a dramatic shift in songwriting and sonic sound by Daniel and captured the imagination of tens of thousands new fans worldwide. Angelus supported the impending release of ‘Seven Love Songs’ with a full UK tour in 2022 and 2023 performed in iconic venues including Manchester Academy.

2025 saw the release of the long-time-developed ‘behind closed doors’ concept album 'daniel'. A powerful, melodic, post-punk and synths enthused record found Daniel Angelus channeling a highly melodic sound to relay the struggles of being a young autistic individual in a dark world. Tracks from the record, including ‘What I Gave You Was Never Enough’, gained a lot of attention and more new fans for Daniel Angelus.

2025 also see's the release of a 2nd concept LP titled ‘music for an honest winter funeral’. The record features musical pieces and vocal tracks that Daniel Angelus has written and recorded for himself and dearly departed friends since 2007. The record follows a journey of grief from the perspective of an individual who picks up the pieces moments after a loved person has died. Some of the record’s tracks have been previously played at funerals. A darker and more unnerving record, Daniel reverently declared he would do no press or tours for this record, preferring to “let this emotional music find it’s own way through the ether to the grieving people that need it”.

Daniel Angelus is currently recording a new soundtrack for a documentary film due for release on the international film circuit in 2026 and has hinted that he would tour again if he felt the timing and energy was right.
